Friðriksson started the tournament with a bye in the first round. In the last 16 Þröstur Ingimarsson was the opponent for the player from Grindavik. Friðriksson won 4-0 including a 82-checkout.
Pétur Rúðrik Guðmundsson was in the quarterfinals the next opponent for ‘The Eagle’. Guðmundsson wasn’t on his best, so Friðriksson won 4-0 again, including a 98-checkout and a checkoutpercentage of 57%.
Friðriksson played Vitor Charrua in the semi-finals. Charrua had a 2-1 lead, but Friðriksson won 3 legs in row in 14,21 and 17 darts for a 4-2 win. Matthías ended his match with an average of 80,70.
Sigurgeir Guðmundsson reached his first Icelandic Pro Tour final. He defeated Gissur Orri Halldórsson (4-1), Ingibjörg Magnúsdóttir (4-2) and Guðmundur Friðbjörnsson (4-3) on his way to the final. Friðbjörnsson was leading 3-2 in the semi-finals and missed a couple of matchdarts, Guðmundsson won the last 2 legs for a place in the final.
In the final the first three legs went with the darts with two 18-darters from Friðriksson. In the fourth leg Friðriksson broke with a 94-checkout and hold his own leg for a 4-1 win in the final.
The top 4 of the Icelandic Pro Tour Order of Merit qualifies themselves after 8 Pro Tours for the Icelandic Premier League 2019. The top 8 will be seeded in Pro Tour 4.
