Icelandic Premier League Week 3

The third week of the Icelandic Premier League was 6 November.

The night started with eventually the best match of the Icelandic Premier League so far, Karl Helgi Jónsson against Þorgeir Guðmundsson. Jónsson started very strong with winning the first three legs in 13,15 and 22 darts. After that, both players played very well, but Guðmundsson hadn’t a comeback and lost 6-3. Both players average around 75.

Matthías Örn Friðriksson managed to produce the first whitewash of the Icelandic Premier League. Friðriksson didn’t lose a single-leg against Guðmundur Sigurðsson; 6-0.

The third match was the match between the youngster, Alex Máni Pétursson and Alexander Þorvaldsson. It was a very strange match because both players missed a lot of doubles. Þorvaldsson had a 3-2 lead, but Pétursson won 2 legs in a row for a 4-3 lead. In the eight legs missed ‘The Son’ double for a 5-3 lead, the same happened in the ninth leg. Both legs were won by Þorvaldsson. The tenth leg was also by Þorvaldsson and won the match eventually 6-4.

Vitor Charrua and Hallgrimur Egilsson played the last match of the third week. Charrua started strong by winning the first 3 legs. Egilsson came back to 4-4. After all the legs went with the darts and so Charrua won the third time, this time 6-5. Egilsson the only player without a win after three matches.
