Vitor Charrua wins last Icelandic Pro Tour

Vitor Charrua won the last Icelandic Pro Tour of the season. It wasn’t enough to secure a place in the Icelandic Premier League.

Charrua started his tournament with a 4-0 win over Geisli Hreinsson, including a 14-dart leg in the first leg.

Alex Máni Pétursson was the opponent in the quarterfinals. Charrua started very well with winning the first three legs. Pétursson came back to 3-2, but Charrua sealed the deal in 18 darts for a 4-2 win.

In the semi-finals, Karl Helgi Jónsson was the opponent. Jónsson won the first leg, but after that ‘The Grenade’ won 4 legs in a row for a 4-1 win and a place in the final.

Hallgrimur Egilsson reached his second final in a row with wins over
Þröstur Ingimarsson (4-1), Þorgeir Guðmundsson (4-0) and Guðmundur Friðbjörnsson (4-3).

Egilsson needed a win in the final for securing his place in the Icelandic Premier League 2019. That didn’t happen, Charrua won all 4 legs in 20,18,20 and 19 darts.

Matthías Örn Friðriksson, Karl Helgi Jónsson, Alex Máni Pétursson and Þorgeir Guðmundsson have secured their places for the Icelandic Premier League 2019!
