He was the strongest in a field of 30 players including a tournament average of 72,39. <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Gu\u00f0mundsson started his campaign with a good 4-1 win against Bjarni Sigur\u00f0sson. In the last 16 8 Gu\u00f0mundsson hadn&#8217;t problems with Hrefna S\u00e6varsd\u00f3ttir, 4-0. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the quarterfinals Matth\u00edas \u00d6rn Fri\u00f0riksson was the opponent for Gu\u00f0mundsson. Gu\u00f0mundsson started very strong and took the first 3 legs incuding a 16-dart-leg. Leg 4 and 5 went with the darts and so Gu\u00f0mundsson won 4-1 with an average of 80,60.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Young talent Alexander \u00deorvaldsson was the next opponent in the semi-finals. He defeated Vitor Charrua in the quarterfinals. Gu\u00f0mundsson won the first two legs, but \u00deorvaldsson came back with legs in 21 and 18 darts for 2-2. The last two legs goes to the more experience Gu\u00f0mundsson for a place in the final.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gu\u00f0mundur Fri\u00f0bj\u00f6rnsson was the other surprising finalist. He defeated J\u00f3nas Helgason, Karl Helgi J\u00f3nsson, Hallgrimur Egilsson and Alex M\u00e1ni P\u00e9tursson. In the final Fri\u00f0bj\u00f6rnsson missed a lot of doubles. Gu\u00f0mundsson punished him and won the first 3 legs. Fri\u00f0bj\u00f6rnsson held his own leg for 3-1. In the fifth leg Fri\u00f0bj\u00f6rnsson missed doubles for 3-2, Gu\u00f0mundsson threw out 5 for the title in Keflavik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><p>The top 4 of the Icelandic Pro Tour Order of Merit qualifies themselves after 8 Pro Tours for the Icelandic Premier League 2019.
